✨ Dev Ops Engineer

Hello, we’re Glowmade! We’re an exciting independent company and the goal of our games is to unlock people's imagination and help them express themselves in wonderful, fun ways. Right now we’re busy building a new multiplayer cooperative game with an ambitious creative wrapper around it. We can’t say too much, but if you can imagine Jim Henson’s Labyrinth mashed up with Wrestlemania, then you’ll be on the right track!

This is an opportunity to play a crucial role in our expanding team. Reporting to Mike Ducker (Technical Director), you’ll be working closely with him, the Engine & Tools team, and the Release team, to identify areas of improvement to our build pipeline across different platforms, and to steer us in the right direction with those implemented improvements.

FROM DAY ONE WE WOULD LIKE YOU TO…

  • Jump into our build pipeline and help identify areas of improvement, and to carry out initial implementation of improvements.

  • Maintain our technology pillars of simplicity and fast iteration.

  • Monitor the state of the build pipeline and identify areas of improvement.

IN SIX MONTHS YOU WILL BE…

  • Implementing improvements in the current pipeline.

  • Adding support for future platforms.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL…

  • Be a Python wizard (not the snake charming type)

  • Have some knowledge of C++

  • Be familiar with Jenkins and Premake

  • Experience with Version Control Software (preferably Perforce)

ADVANTAGEOUS QUALITIES:

  • Have some knowledge of console SDK and packaging pipelines.

  • Knowledge of Groovy.

  • Experience with build pipelines for custom engines.

  • Experience working in development on fast paced, structured projects

  • Experience in collaborative, cross-discipline communication, planning and documentation
