🐾 Happy National Pet Day!

They say that you can tell a lot about people by how they love their pets.

So we thought we’d introduce you to a few of the much-loved extended family members of our wonderful pet-friendly Glow-folk.

Glowmade is the home to a team of talented and passionate creators, and support staff - many of these Glowbugs have the unconditional love and support in all that they do from their fellow fluffy companions and it really reflects on our culture as a studio.

You could say that we are a pet-pawsitive team. ;)

Their adorable antics* are often a source of their creativity. - so we thought it would be befitting to dedicate this day (and this very special pet’s edition of ‘Getting to Know-made!) to them.

(as in adorable pets, not devs - although they are also, very adorable.)*

So Hugo, tell us all a little bit about yourself?

Me? My name is Hugo, 7 year old Shih-tzu/Border Terrier mix, Instagram influencer, Aries. 😎

Who from Glowmade do you look after?

My Mum is Shanie and she’s the community manager from Glowmade, I quite like to join in the daily Glowmade video meetings too when on ‘Working from Home’ days!

What’s your favourite toy?

My ‘Bun-Bun’ - I picked it out from the pet store myself when I was a puppy and take it to bed every single night to suckle, I usually like a game of WWE Smackdown with it at 2am, it’s the best! 💪🐰

What kind of antics do you get up to when nobody is around (I won’t tell, promise!)

I’m a HUGE fan of the bin, like, it’s the BEST, I figured everyone else might be too because I will happily leave the contents all over the floor….sometimes hidden down the back of the sofa too.

So Puzzle, tell us all a little bit about yourself?

Hi! My name is Puzzle. I am 1 year old and I love to be treated like a princess by the hooms.

Who from Glowmade do you look after?

My Mummy is Ine, 3D Artist at Glowmade! When she’s not busy making sure I’m being w̶a̶i̶t̶e̶d̶ ̶o̶n̶ cuddled, then Mum can be found making all kinds of amazing stuff on ArtStation.

What’s your favourite toy?

My favourite toy is, of course, the toy where there are snackies hidden in it. I have a couple of those and I love them very much. After playing I like to go for a nap. My favourite place where I snooze all day is underneath the drawers in the bedroom. (the hooms don't know yet, but I've been chewing on it when they're not looking hee-hee)

What kind of antics do you get up to when nobody is around (I won’t tell, promise!)

My guilty pleasure would be munching that delicious spicy hay.

The hooms get mad when I do it, even though it's rather delicious. In total I have eaten 3 spicy hays: a microphone, a charger and an extension cable. A delicacy for a bunny like me. 🥕⚡🔌

My name is Nala…have you got any food?

Who from Glowmade do you look after?

My Dad is none other than 3D Artist Jonathan Macdonald (Aka. JMac!) - My Dad is often tinkering in Arty things. When I’m not being fed and/or adored. 💅

What’s your favourite toy?

Food.

What kind of antics do you get up to when nobody is around (I won’t tell, promise!)

Also food. But I’m partial to playing with the odd plastic bag at times.

My name is Nikita and my sister is also Nala (Dad is convinced one of us was a dog in a past life.

Speaking of! My Dad is also 3D Artist Jonathan Macdonald (Aka. JMac!).

What’s your favourite toy?

It’s GOT to be the catnip Kale, that stuff is WILD! 😻🪴

What kind of antics do you get up to when nobody is around (I won’t tell, promise!)

I love unravelling a full loo roll just so my Dad has to reroll it!

My name is Frank the Wonderpug, you may have seen me on Twitter, but when I’m not conquering the dizzying heights of being a social media influencer, you’ll occasionally see me around the studio giving the Glow-folk lots of cuddles. *blems*

Who from Glowmade do you look after?

My Dad is Jonny! Studio Head at Glowmade.

What’s your favourite toy?

My favourite toy is Snakey Cakes, a squeaky snake I stole off my Border Collie cousin Barney at Christmas.

What kind of antics do you get up to when nobody is around (I won’t tell your Dad, I promise!)

My guilty pleasure is that everything is food! Especially napkins! I love napkins!
